60th Gottscheer Treffen in Kitchener, ON- 2024
Wir sind eine große familie!
The Gottscheers constitute a community dedicated to preserving the traditions, language, and heritage of Gottschee. During these Treffens, we reflect on the beautiful tales and memories from our homeland while reveling in the company of family and friends. As those who continue to thrive as Gottscheers, we embody the essence of what Gottschee represented: culture, diligence, strong values, and kinship. Our roots are etched in our hearts; we will always honor our homeland and what was left behind. As long as individuals remain committed to learning about our people’s history and customs, the spirit of Gottschee will endure. Through celebrations like the Treffen, our culture experiences a revitalization. Despite being dispersed across various corners of the globe, we remain united as one people—
one family—forevermore.
