The North Amercian Gottscheer Treffen (Reunion) will be taking place in Kitchener this year at the Alpine Club. All of the information we have thus far is found below. We hope you can join us!!!
BE SURE TO HAVE A VALID PASSPORT OR PASSPORT CARD
(must be valid for 6 months after travel dates)
1. Transportation to be provided via Charter Bus from E.O.U.V. Facility
2. Departure date from E.O.U.V. Club – FRIDAY August 2nd 2024
3. Arrive in Kitchener, Ontario late afternoon, August 2nd
4. Event Hotel – DoubleTree by Hilton, Kitchener. The deadline for hotel room bookings is July 2nd, 2024.
There are 2 room types available. The rates are as follows:
Executive Tower King - a room with 1 king bed (maximum 2 people to a room)
Executive Double Queen - a room with 2 queen beds (maximum of 4 people to a room)
$189 including breakfast for 1 person, plus taxes = $222.11 CDN per room per night
$201 including breakfast for 2 people, plus taxes = $236.21 CDN per room per night
$213 including breakfast for 3 people, plus taxes = $250.31 CDN per room per night
$225 including breakfast for 4 people, plus taxes = $264.42 CDN per room per night
5. All scheduled events for Treffen will take place at the Alpine Club, 454 Maple Ave. Kitchener,ON. Mass will be held, Sunday morning at St. Mary’s RC Church in downtown Kitchener, starting at 9:45am. Please wear Tracht to this event for the procession into the church if you have it.
6. Scheduled return to E.O.U.V. club late Sunday, August 4th, 2024
E.O.U.V. Charter Bus transit is provided free of charge to Club members in good standing. Members of performing clubs (Blaskapelle, Choir, Dance Group) regardless of club membership are granted free transportation. One adult chaperone per minor child that is active within an organization is also granted free transportation.
Package meal and entrance information to the 60th Gottscheer Treffen are pending. The meals are usually Saturday night dinner and Sunday luncheon. There may be a meet and greet on Friday. These plans are not clear as of yet. Any other meal is a la carte.
